So how does it work?

1.
Access & Analysis
Every audit begins with access to your Shopify store and supporting tools, so I can review your site from both the customer’s perspective and the back-end. I evaluate design, usability, and technical performance, checking how your store looks, how it works, and how it scales. This includes a UX/UI review, conversion flow assessment, top-level SEO checks, and a full audit of your theme and apps to identify what’s helping and what’s holding you back.
2.
Curating Findings & Improvement Plan
With the analysis complete, I distil the findings into a clear improvement plan. Issues are categorised by priority and complexity, highlighting quick wins as well as deeper opportunities. Alongside recommendations, I create mini design mockups where relevant, helping you visualise what an optimised version of your store could look like. The goal here is clarity: to show you not just what needs fixing, but what’s possible.
3.
Presentation & Next Steps
The audit concludes with a presentation of findings, delivered in a format that is easy to understand and act on. Together, we review the opportunities for pruning unnecessary or underperforming elements, refining your tech stack, improving product discoverability, and sharpening your brand alignment. You leave with a prioritised roadmap of actionable next steps, equipping you to make informed decisions about the future of your store — whether you choose to implement improvements yourself, or partner with me for the next phase of your growth.
Shopify Audit FAQs
Q: Is the audit suitable for new brands, or only established ones?
A: The audit is suitable for both. For new brands, it ensures you’re setting strong foundations before scaling — helping you avoid common pitfalls and design a store with intention from day one. For established brands, it uncovers opportunities to refine what’s already in place, prune what’s no longer serving you, and identify growth pathways for higher conversions and retention.
Q: Will you implement the recommended changes for me?
A: Implementation isn’t included in the audit itself. The goal of the audit is to provide you with clarity, strategy, and a prioritised roadmap of improvements. That said, many clients choose to move into a design or development phase with me after their audit, where I can implement the recommendations directly. You’re also free to use the findings to guide your own team or another provider.
Q: Do you look at SEO as part of the Audit?
A: Yes — but with a focus on internal SEO as it relates to your Shopify store and theme. I review essentials such as site structure, metadata, heading hierarchy, schema, alt text, and internal linking to ensure your store is technically sound and supporting discoverability. That said, I’m not an SEO specialist. If you’re seeking deep keyword research, backlink strategies, or broader content marketing insights, I’d recommend pairing this audit with an SEO professional. My role is to ensure your store itself is optimised to make the most of that work.
Q: Do you look at Marketing Performance at part of the Audit?
A: Not directly. The audit is focused on your store itself — design, UX, SEO, systems, and apps — rather than paid ads or campaign performance. However, I do review the way your store supports your marketing activity. For example, I’ll highlight whether your landing pages are optimised for conversions, whether your site communicates your brand story effectively, and whether your customer journey supports nurturing after acquisition. In other words, I look at how well your store is prepared to maximise the results of your marketing investment.
Q: How do you determine the price of the Audit?
A: Your audit will be quoted on enquiry and depends on the number of pages, size of your product catalogue, customisations, and the complexity of your tech stack. The Audit cost ranges from $1500 - $3900 AUD +GST.
Q: How long does the Audit take?
A: As with pricing, the timeframe depends on the number of pages, size of your product catalogue, customisations, and the complexity of your tech stack. An estimated timeline will be provided in your quote. Please note that delays in providing required permissions, information, or input from any third-party services may impact the agreed deadlines.
The audit can take anywhere from 5 working days to 2-3 work weeks.

We first engaged Natasha for a website audit, which gave us a clear picture of where our website needed improvement. The audit included heat mapping to understand customer behaviour and identify sticky points, which was invaluable for deciding what changes would have the biggest impact. This process really set the foundation for our next steps and gave us confidence that we were making data-backed decisions.
